Silvia, welcome to the show. I want to thank you from my heart for your courage in sharing with our many compassionate readers your amazing and very inspiring story. Let’s begin our interview by having you tell us about your very difficult painful childhood that forced you to grow up way too fast and become the parent at way too young in age.
Thank you very much for having me. I’m very grateful for that. Growing up, that was very difficult. I didn’t had a choice. My parents are both mentally disabled and both my brothers also. Me being normal, I was quickly pushed into that role of, “You have to be the parent and do all stuff,” but I was only a child. I didn’t know what to do. I was surviving and helping in ways that I thought that I could. I just did my best, but it wasn’t easy.
I didn’t have the time to connect when I was little with other children. I was bullied a lot because my parents didn’t take care of me and I didn’t know what self-care was at that point. It was difficult to have no friends. They were mean. Also, the stuff at home. My mom couldn’t handle my little brother when he was disabled with health issues. It was difficult. Eventually, they took him away because it was too hard, but me and my older brother were still at home. My mom was in a lot of pain.
Was your older brother okay or was he also mentally disabled?
He’s also mental disabled but not in the degree as my little brother. I was taking care of him with my mom and my dad, seeing all the violence around. It was horrible.
Silvia, my heart goes out to you. That’s awful. Were there any adults outside of your home who were helping you at all to give you any role models or to try to assist you in any way?
There were social workers. In the week, I had to go there to make my homework and stuff, but it was not all the time, but that was my role model of, “There is something else.” Also, my godmother. The times that I could escape at home, I was at other places just to relax a little bit. I don’t like being in that hell. In other ways, they did their best and it was very painful for them also losing their child. They are mental disabled.
Your little brother couldn’t handle that because, eventually, he took his own life.
Yes, my little brother. My older brother did different attempts, but that’s later in life. At one point, I just couldn’t help so much that I could see that I couldn’t help him. Eventually, I was getting sick and I had to choose for myself for the first time. I had to let him go. Life is forcing me like, “This is not living. You can’t help them. They can’t grow because you’re in the way. You have to help yourself first.”
How old are you when you came to this realization that it was time for you to take care of you?
It was when I was helping my aunt. She was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor.
How old were you at this time? Were you still a teenager? Are you 12, 8, or 16?
This is way later in life. My first time with cancer was 26-years-old and then the diagnosis with my aunt was 27. She died when I was 28. When I was 29, I was diagnosed with incurable cancer.
By the way, was this aunt your godmother?
No. It was someone else. No one in the family want to help her so that rescuer in me was like, “I’m going to help her because I just went to cancer.” I have these calling of helping her. I stood by her side. We did everything. It was horrible for me to see the other side of cancer because I was just done with my process like chemotherapy, radiation, breast amputation, and everything. I though like, “Yes, I survived these,” and then it’s like, “Now, you can see the other side of cancer.”
I was there with the first diagnosis until her last breath. It took a lot of me. That’s when the first time I saw like, “I can’t save anyone. It’s time for me to take care of myself and start to live my life.” The second diagnosis came and it was like, “What?” It’s my time to go now. I was like, “What now?” The first time that I decided to live my life, I can’t anymore because it came back.
Our readers can’t see you, but you’re so pretty, and it’s amazing because I know that you’ve cried so much and you don’t see it in your face. There’s a light in you. I want to know. You say that cancer became a blessing in your life. What was the personal message in this for you?
First, it was like a curse, but then I finally surrender to what it was trying to do with my life. At first, when you received the diagnosis of cancer, you always have to be strong, positive, fight, and all this stuff, but that didn’t work for me. It came back. Afterwards, I was fighting, but it wasn’t changing. I wasn’t living.
I want to become a mom or a career woman or one of those two, but now, cancer was like, “No, you can’t. I’m taking that away.” Also, taking care of others. It’s like, “No, you can’t anymore.” That’s when I had to say to my older brother for the first time and to my family, “No, I can’t take care of you now because I have to take care of myself. I’m dying. I need to focus now because I was too stubborn.”
First, in your childhood, with everybody being so needy, it took you away from you and then the health issues took you away from you, but in a way, it gave you a chance to say to everybody, “I can’t take care of you anymore. Now, it’s time for me to start to take care of myself.”
The first time, I didn’t listen because afterwards I was taking care of my aunt. I wasn’t seeing myself and all the trauma that I went through that was needed to be healed. For me, it was always surviving because I didn’t know that it was necessary. However, now life and cancer was helping me to go with and heal myself from all those trauma in life.
I was forced to give up because the doctors were saying, “No, you can’t become a mom and a career woman.” I want to travel, but I couldn’t because I had to be back in the hospital for my weekly treatments and all the stuff. It was like, “Why do I need to stay then?” It’s like, “This is not my way of living because I want to be a mom. I want to be a career woman. I want to take care of others and I can’t.”
If I don’t see the point to stay, then it’s like I’m giving up. I’m dying. I’m like, “I don’t want the treatments anymore. I don’t want it all.” That is the first time that I finally grieved. I was crying all my dreams out. For the first time, I was breaking down and giving up, but it wasn’t life that I was giving up. It was the fighting I was giving up because after crying and crying and being at the bottom of the sea or below that, you’re so young and you never lived.
After a few weeks and once I finally cried out, I say to myself, “I can’t control the situation so I have a choice now.” It’s like, “What is it that I can control?” The only thing that I could control at that point was myself. It was like, “What is it that I’m going to do with the rest of my life? I don’t know how long I have. What is it that I’m going to do? Am I going to keep wanting the past or the future but that isn’t possible?” Life was forcing me to be in the now and do the things that I love, but it’s like, “What is that? Where am I? What is it that I love,” because I didn’t know that. I know everyone else’s needs and what they love. It was there that I discovered myself for the first time.
You came to this by yourself. You didn’t come to this with anyone saying to you, “Silvia, you need to focus on you. Silvia, you now have control, but you do have control over your choices or your attitude.” This all came to you. No one said this to you.
I did lots of lots of research in the medical world. I was fighting and seeing all those other women die. I was trying to find examples, but I couldn’t so I was getting frustrated. It’s like, “I can’t.” I did a lot on intuition. I don’t know what it was.
Did you feel that there is a higher source or a higher way that is helping you?
At that point, I wasn’t aware of it. I was good at handling things, surviving, and following my heart. I was doing my own thing like I always did in my life. It was my heart that was guiding me, but I didn’t know it at that point. I knew that deep inside of me, there was always something. There is a way, but with the mind, I couldn’t find it so I was searching outside of myself a lot.
It was when I was breaking down and all the fighting that I discovered myself. That’s where my healing took place. That’s where life finally could flow through me again. That’s when I finally learned for the first time what I enjoying meant because before I didn’t know what it was. It was like going in the garden with the flowers and all the stuff.
When you got the second cancer diagnosis, did they tell you you’re not going to make it or did they say there’s hope and you’re going to be okay?
They said, “Now that it’s back, you’re not curable anymore. We don’t know how long you have. We have this treatments. We have another one, but then we can’t help you anymore. We don’t know the time or how long it is. With some people, it’s six months. With others, it’s two years and sometimes longer.” They also said, “You’re so young, so it’s in your advantage.”
In spite of that, with a death sentence over you, you were you were still determined for however long you had to think about a future and to find yourself.
It was not about thinking about my future because then, I wasn’t thinking about the future, but I was living in the now because I wasn’t worrying. I was taking my focus of dying, cancer, and fighting. I was back to living. I was like, “What is it that I want to do? What is it that I love?” Also, self-love because I didn’t know what us. At that point, my hair was wasn’t growing back and I had troubles. I did mirror work with Louise Hay. It was the first transformational book.
Could you say what that book is again?
It’s You Can Heal Your Life.
You can heal your life. Share on X
Was that by Louise Hay?
Yes. She also has a story with cancer and stuff, but I didn’t use that because I didn’t want to fight cancer anymore. I wanted to listen to it and to what is it that it wants to bring me or just like I want to leave now. It was like, “I want to know myself. How is it that I talk to myself? How do I react? How do I see myself?” That’s where the opening came of self-discovery.
When you say personal, we say it’s a choice leading to a person becoming the author of his or her own life. Not everybody knows that. How did you come to that? With all that you were going through, you decided that you were not going to let that define you.
I start thinking of life experiences. I always had the choice. I’ve been bullied a lot. I have this eating disorder.
Was it anorexia or bulimia?
Bulimia.
Did you went through a divorce also?
No, that’s now. I saw from the past of like, “I had to choose. I can go on with this or I can choose to be someone else and grow from this.” Before, I wasn’t aware of it or that I was doing that, but now, after the opening cancer, I can see everything is for my evolution. That’s how I see life now and that’s how it became my life now. It’s helping me so much. It’s like you have a choice. Will you keep suffering or will you help yourself and grow to become the person that you are meant to be?

Self-Discovery: You have the choice to keep suffering or help yourself grow and become the person you actually are going to be.
You just defined the purpose of grief and rebirth. That’s exactly why we do this. That’s exactly why we have you on the show. We’re giving people’s choices of how they can be. They do not have to choose to be in their suffering all the time and it’s amazing that you came to that on your own. You say that impossible means “I’m possible.” Can you talk about this change perception of your life? A lot of people do not understand that.
When I started discovering myself and changing from fighting to living, the impossible became possible for me. The thing that I wasn’t chasing anymore, it was like, “Get rid of the cancer and all the stuff.” After four months of working on myself, start living my life, discovering myself, and how I work, I went back to the hospital to do a checkup, but I wasn’t thinking about cancer anymore. I was living my life.
When you start discovering yourself, the impossible will become possible. Share on X
I was feeling good and I was with all those transformational work. I was changing how I was thinking and there I was also realizing that maybe I can stop the treatments and if it comes back, then afterwards we can start again. The doctors didn’t want that. They are like, “No. You have to do it like this,” but I was like, “No. I want to live. It’s blocking me from living.” After those four months of work, I was like, “I’m going to risk it. I’m going to tr.” There’s something inside of me that says, “Come on. You can do this.” I was preparing for that conversation and the checkup and the news came that they didn’t see that one coming. It was like, “Everything is gone.” For me, it was, “What?”
It inspired your life because you changed the way you think. It removed whatever that toxicity was inside of you.
For me, I started living again. My body could use the energy to heal itself again and to help to restore about fighting and all the stuff for me. The key was surrendering and getting out of the way because I believed in the self-healing ability of the body and there, it was proved to me. It was like, “I have this gift for myself.” Every cancer journey is different. For me, my journey with cancer was to heal my self-connection. That was a starting point because it’s a never-ending challenge.
I thought like I had my share, but then afterwards, the suicide of my brother and divorce. That’s what I mean by impossible as “I’m possible.” It’s like, “How do you see things?” Impossible is the same work, but it’s a different outcome. It’s how you look at things that will define your life. I see everything now is something to grow and evolve. It hurts. I go into feeling, crying, being angry, and releasing all those emotions. It’s helping me to heal and to even enjoy life even more deeply and appreciate what I have.
I’m so grateful to be alive despite of the divorce because I also never saw that one coming because we went through so much. However, I can also see another part of me like, “I can grow now even more to the woman that I already am, but I can’t see it.” It’s like undoing the prisons that I made for myself when I was little. It’s undoing all this stuff because I still don’t know who I am.
However, I’m not that cancer girl anymore. I’m not wanting to become a mom because I can’t see the story behind why I needed it. It was like, “I don’t need to have a child to be someone in the world.” Before, that was my inkling. That’s why I was suffering so much like, “Why can’t I be? It’s taken away,” and all that stuff.
There are so many more choices than just to become a mother and you’d already been a mother in your childhood.
Yes, but I didn’t see that yet. I was like, “No. I have my own.” I was blocking myself. This surrendering part and when I gave up, I was like, “Life could move through me in other ways.” I could learn other things that I couldn’t see before, but I had to cry and release first because without that, I couldn’t. You have to let go, first thing, your feelings and with the suicide of my brother, it was huge. It was very painful.
You were his sister and you had parented him. This was your younger brother, right?
Yes.
Your mom and your dad were not equipped. You lost a sibling and you lost, in a way, a child.
That’s why it was so difficult for me, but I had the tools from cancer before so I knew what I had to do, but there was this big guilt that was showing of like, “The first time you left your family alone, look what happened with your brother.” This guilt is taking over. I call it the guilt a game. My mind was playing the guilt game or I had other choices to go in that pain and feeling it. That was very painful, but the pain of guilt is very nasty. It’s way worse.
That’s what my brother teach me. Even when he was gone and seeing those different things. That’s what I mean by having a choice. I was constantly in guilt until I saw like, “This isn’t living anymore. This is not what my brother wanted for me.” It’s like, “I have to go deeper in myself.” I went to a meditation retreat and totally closing myself off to see how this guilt work. How did I take that somewhere when I was little and I was taking responsibility for the whole world except for myself.
That’s when I saw like, “My mind used this guilt game to imprison me, but it’s the other pain that’s I need to go through.” I was getting aware of it and saying, “No. I’m going to the pain and grieving.” When I was home, finally, for the first time I could grieve him like, “I miss you.” I am not like, “I feel guilty because I didn’t do this. I had to do this more or that.” That’s just in the head.
That’s an illusion that you had control over so much that you did not have control. You just had control over how you were going to handle it within yourself. It’s amazing to me that you didn’t have a therapist and you didn’t have a social worker. You didn’t have people working with you about all this, but you came to these conclusions within yourself. That is absolutely amazing to me.
I had a very inspiring about teacher. He talks about the eagle.
Was this an actual teacher that you went to or a book that you read?
It was in YouTube.
You use YouTube to find these people who could help you.
Yes, and I use it on myself. I didn’t know what the eagle was. I didn’t know what the mind was or that there was a difference because I was doing everything on feeling, surviving, or gut instincts. I didn’t know what it was. I was always doing first and, afterwards, it’s like, “That’s what I did.” That’s why I want to help people now because I went through it and afterwards now, I’m looking for the work so I can help people with it.
When I was trying to find examples, I didn’t find anyone. I find women and they were dying. Also, in a way they helped me to let me see that it isn’t the way they go. If they didn’t share their stories and I’m very grateful that they did. I could be like, “That isn’t a way. I have to find something else.” That’s why I also want to share my story. It’ not like, “This is the way to go,” but you can use it and build your story like I built my story on the story of those women that did that. At one point, I saw the example of the hero I was looking for. I became that. It was like, “It’s amazing that I’m still here.” It’s like, “What is it that I want to do with my life now?”
How do you plan to help people through your website and all of that? I’ve read that you want a podcast. You also are doing these love cards. I’m sure you’re wanting to be available for people to reach out. Are you going to be doing things in person? What is your concept for how you are going to become a Louise Hay in a way? You’re going to become this amazing role model to people. Just the fact that you were able to help put your body into remission is amazing. How do you plan to take what’s happened to you and how you’ve processed it and help people who come to you?
That’s why the divorce is happening now. I’m like, “It’s time to step into your purpose and helping those people.” My ex-husband was supporting me, but I was blocking myself by putting my husband first. Now, I have so many growth opportunities to find even more myself and to love my soul even more. Also, to connect even more to these purposes that this growing inside of me. I did so much inner work that now I’m creating to become a speaker.
Also, to travel the world and impact as many people as I can by sharing the light of possibility and that it’s possible. It’s how you see things and you can change it into whatever you want. That’s what I’m doing also now. I feel like this sixteen-year-old girl now. Finally, “What is it that you wanting life?” It’s like, “You go, girl.”
With your amazing ability to figure things out and regenerate yourself, how does a person establish self-connection with him or herself? What would you recommend and answering, “Who am I?” What did you discover about who Silvia is? How can that be passed forward to others from your experience?
The number one tool from me is meditating. Someone taught me to sit with yourself and observe. Sit for an hour and listen to your thoughts. That’s how I can hear my crazy thoughts because they are always there.
However, you didn’t believe all your crazy thoughts.
At first, I did, but it was a practice. It’s like going to the gym with your minds. Just sitting there for an hour and your mind will do everything like, “You have to be lonely. You have to prepare dinner,” and this. You have to just sit and listen. Don’t go away. That’s what I love. That’s helped me with self-connection and also, not defining and reacting as much because if I don’t meditate, I can see the day is totally different.
I’m also doing a meditation teaching course at the moment. That’s also what I want to do. I like to travel the world and become a speaker. Also, guiding people because meditation is such a powerful tool in every single way. It helped me so much and it’s still helping me. I do it every morning for one hour and I love it.
Is there a particular type of meditation that you do? Is it mindful meditation or you just go right in? You don’t you don’t go through any special course or any special program or play a tape or anything like that?
No. Sometimes, if I feel like I have to release, then I use music. Meditation is very big. What is the purpose that you are using it for? For me, I use it like to hear my thoughts and I don’t act on them. I’m hearing and how my ego is trying to let me do something that’s not me. Also, because I’m quickly aware of this, I can change everything myself. I’m always like, “No. Listen, release, or cry.” I also am inspired like this when I sit and listen. I have all this inspiration. At first, there is so much crap. “You have to do this and that. You didn’t say that.” I’m just listening to it. Before, I was trying to fix the thoughts. I was already in another thought and I was there. I was all over the place, but now, I’m just listening to it and letting them flow back.
To those thoughts you say, “No,” and you let them go.
I’m not reacting on them. I’m listening to them. At first, it’s like hell. I did a 90-day challenge. Afterwards when I was still alive, I was like, “What is it that I want to do with my life?” I was like, “I’m going to try meditation because that was something I was delaying.” I couldn’t sit still for five minutes because it was like, “No. Meditation is sitting for five minutes.” It’s crazy. I was like, “No, I want to.” I did two hours a day for 90 days.
I saw how my life changed. That’s how yourself connection was born. Also, this idea of beginning this podcast and sharing the self-discovery journey because it’s so amazing if you start to discover yourself because you can see, “Maybe the life that I’m living isn’t mine, but what is it that I want?” As you said, “Who am I?” I don’t know who I am, but I know, “This part, I don’t want to be that anymore.”
That’s what I’m changing myself and taking the choice of like, “This is what I want to become,” or letting me guide to whatever it is. I’m following my heart and the calling in the moment. When I left the hospital because when I said, “I don’t want to do treatments anymore,” and then it was gone. The doctor said to me, “You have to stay in treatments and all the stuff.”

Self-Discovery: You must be clear about which parts of yourself you don’t like and must be changed to improve your identity.
I was like, “No, I want to try.” My relationship with the doctors, I saw them above me, but it was another life lesson that I needed that we are the same. I was learning at that point. I couldn’t raise my voice yet, but I was trying but scared. “After four months, you’re not coming in for treatments, but you still have to come to checkups.” I said, “It’s good. Can I leave?” He’s like, “Okay.” I felt like my life was changing again. This fear is taking over like, “What if the doctors are right?” The people around me were like, “You’re crazy. What are you doing?” I was like, “No. I know what I’m doing.” Also, this role of trying to prove to the world.
It’s very hard to stand up to authority. It’s very difficult to stand up to people.
My mind was taking over, but I wasn’t showing it to the outside world. I was determined to do my own way. I went back to the check up and in the check-up, you could see that it was going again. However, for the first time, I heard my heart calling, “Silvia, you’re on the right way. There is a way. Don’t go back in treatment because the doctor said that you have to come back in treatment because in six months, maybe you’re not here anymore,” which is much worse.
It have all these fears, but I was like, “No. I feel there is something,” because I saw four months ago that it was possible. I saw there was a possibility. I experienced it so it was like, “I have something, but I’m still missing something.” That’s where finally I went into the inner world. At first, I did alternative world because that’s was the next step. I said goodbye to the hospital. I said, “No. I’m not going to be this way anymore. If I stay, I’m going to die. If I try another way, I maybe also going to die, but I also can leave so why not try? I’m just going to risk it though.”
At first, the first logical step that my mind took was the holistic world and I did all my research. I was obsessed. I was searching for people and how they did it. All of the sudden, they are also dying, but there were also possibilities so that’s good. There was the third group believing that it was possible. They were depending still on a treatment. For example, detoxing on the wheat oil or the stuff. When they stopped with that treatment, they did die.
I was like, “It isn’t the way to go then because then you’re still depending on a treatment.” I didn’t want to depend on a treatment anymore. I wanted to be depending on myself again. I’m not saying that the holistic world is better. There is possibility and all the stuff, but for me, it didn’t feel right because I was still fighting against it and I saw in the past that it wasn’t away for me to go because it wasn’t surrendering and to start living. That why I also said goodbye to the holistic world. I said, “There is only one world left and it was the inner world.” That’s where I fully went to self-discovering and healing.
Your story is amazing. You’re quite a role model. You’re so strong and resilient. Many people could not do what you did and you didn’t even have good role models in your life physically. Your story is amazing, Silvia. You are to be admired and you’re going to help a lot of people. What is the story with these love cards that you have?
When my little brother died, I went into painting because I loved painting and that helped me heal myself. When my brother died, we received all these little cards and I’m so grateful for them, but the choices in the store has no color on it. I felt like I want to change it. I wanted to bring more color to the people that are in pain at that moment.
They are beautiful cards. I’ve seen them. They’re saying, “You are loved.” There were hearts. “Love your life love.” Also, “Love heals,” and “Everything will be okay.” Are they going to be for sale on your website?
Yes. They are already for sale.
Can you ship them to other parts of the world like America and all of that?
Everything is possible.
People can get on your website and see them also.
It’s also a good reminder because when I was doing this inner work, sometimes the fear is in your mind and then sometimes you’re away. If you see things like these on your wall like, “Everything will be okay,” you snap out of it.
It’s a reminder.
Before, I was just writing them all this stuff and putting it on the wall, but there was no color so it was not catching it. It started with this little gift of my little brother, but then it evolved to, “I believe you can and you will,” and “Love heals.”
That’s a gift from your brother in a way that he’s inspiring you and he’s helping you to help other people because I can imagine one of these cards coming from you has extra meaning for someone because you’ve done it. If someone looks at that, they can say, “This really is possible.” I know your website is HealYourSelfConnection.com. Can you tell everyone what your social media links are? How do they get ahold of you? How do they reach out to you? Tell us about all that.
I have an Instagram account. It’s @HealYourSelfConnection. They can find all the links to my YouTube and Facebook channels.
You speak on YouTube and you have a Facebook post and all of that. You must be getting quite a following now.
It’s growing. It was an evolution also because at first, I didn’t know how to bring my story and it was growing also. I started with writing just to heal also. Journaling is a powerful tool to heal also. I also used saying out loud what I’m thinking and then crying. I was healing and letting that out. At first, I interviewed people to see how do they share their story? How do they talk? I had to learn my English because I couldn’t speak English well. It was practicing and I’m still practicing.
I was afraid to talk. I was like, “I see that I did so many things, but I couldn’t use words to it.” I went to Joe Dispenza and The Power of the Mind. I was like, “I know that it’s the way it is.” We create our own reality. Now, I can give words to my journey and help people. That’s evolving and having the confidence to share my story in YouTube. I made a video series of what I did and the life lessons.

Is there a name to it?
Yes.
What is the name of it?
The name is The Gifts I Received from Cancer. It’s a thirteen-video series that I made and you can there that I was very shy and not talking, but I’m growing on that by doing and that’s how life goes. It’s experience.
This is an amazing interview. To end, you have a video with the gifts of cancer. Can you give us a little brief summary of some of the gifts that you feel you received from cancer? Also, you of all people, what is your tip for finding joy in life because you certainly are finding it.
The first one is inner beauty versus outer beauty. How I learned from cancer that it doesn’t matter how you look. My definition of beauty was in my long hair and I lost my hair and it didn’t grow back as before. At first, I was fighting that and I was suffering. I was feeling very ugly and all the stuff until I learned with Louise Hay the mirror work and self-love. I can see my inner beauty now. I’m like, “I am beautiful because I’m me and not because I have beautiful long hair.” This was a huge change.
That’s about self-acceptance. It’s accepting yourself.
That’s another part, but that was the first lesson for me. It’s also accepting myself on how I look at that point. You other stories like how something very bad became my biggest blessing like Friday the 13th and how my life changed. Also, how you look at things, what is happening, and all the stuff. Also, the relationship with the doctor. It was a doctor but it’s finding my voice. I was trying to convince others, but it’s not trying to convince others. It’s believing yourself that you can and take that energy and use it for yourself and not proving like, “This is possible.”

Self-Discovery: Take your energy and use it for yourself, not to prove something to others.
You are not going to change them.
No. I was trying that hard and then I saw that like, “No. I’m going to take that energy and I’m going to use it.” I closed myself off from the world and I went in this transformation like, “I’m going to do it. I’m going to change myself.” Afterwards, those people was like, “What did you do?”
All of a sudden, you become a role model to them because you did what they felt could not be done. Would you call this how you found joy in life or is there something else that you can say about how you found joy in life?
For me, joy means the little things. I enjoy so much the little things. I was feeling the sun on my skin or the flowers and those colors. I can enjoy so much or some music. If I listen to some classic music on the cello, it’s amazing how deeply I feel the joy of just being present in the moment and listen and feel at that point. That’s for me what joy is.

Self-Discovery: Joy is all the little things in life. It is the feeling of the sun in your skin, the flowers with various colors, and the music you listen to.
That’s very important because a lot of us have so much going on in our brains that we can’t see what is all around us.
I’m so grateful for the little things now. Before I go asleep, I pick my journal of how am I receiving in life and I’m looking at what is it that I received from life or the sunset or a beautiful bird that is flying by.
This has been wonderful and I can’t wait for everyone to enjoy and to be inspired by you. You’ve had so many challenges and chosen to focus on the gifts, the changes, and the wisdom that have come from coping with such terrible hardships and healing. You are an inspiration, Silvia. I’m so very grateful to be able to introduce the courageous role model who you are to our wonderful readers on the show. I’m going to look forward to hearing from you again because I know that you’ve got a book percolating in your brain, and I’d love to hear from you after you come out with that. Thank you and bless you. As I like to say, from my heart to yours, to be continued.
I am deeply touched. Thank you.
