Today I drove my 2 nine-year-old grandsons who I adore to a baseball clinic. While we were on the way to the clinic, we talked about why it is important to tell people in your life that you love them, especially when you say Goodbye.
I told the boys that the night before our car accident, Grandpa Saul kissed me and told me, “I’m so lucky and thankful to have you in my life.” I let the boys know that those words still mean the world to me and that is why I “pass it forward” and often tell people that I love them, am thankful for them, and appreciate them, especially when it’s time to say “Goodbye.”
All this got me thinking about what I’m grateful for these days.
I’m grateful that I had Saul in my life. I’m grateful for everything I learned from him, for all the times we laughed together, for the ways he encouraged me to get the professional help I needed to begin to heal from my painful childhood, and thankful that this opened the door to even more healing in my life when he transitioned.
I’m also grateful for each of you. Thank you for tuning into Grief and Rebirth Podcast! My passion is to give you healing choices and enlightened insights that can help you to live a more inspired, joy filled life. I’m so very grateful to be able to introduce you to the many incredibly special, gifted people I have the privilege of interviewing for the podcast, and grateful that some of them, and some of you, are becoming cherished personal friends.
I was recently interviewed on Julie Boyer’s podcast about gratitude. Our conversation deeply uplifted us both, so I want to also share it with you. Please click on the link!
From my heart, Blessings Irene!
