My Skin Cancer Diagnosis, Spirits, and the Unshakable Intuition That Saved Me

I hope this message finds each of you so very well. I am speaking to you from my studio in West Orange, New Jersey. I could not be more delighted to welcome Kate Saint Clair, a human intuition expert, a psychic medium, and an intuitive advocate who has spent nearly two decades helping people reclaim the inner guidance they were born with. Since 2007, Kate has devoted her life to normalizing intuition and restoring it to its rightful place as a source of wisdom, clarity, and empowerment in everyday life.

Transforming Health Scares into Awakening

She teaches intuition not as something mystical or elusive, but as a practical embodied skill that every person can learn to trust. Kate’s path into this work was not one she sought out. A skin cancer scare in 2011 became the turning point that forced Kate into deep self-acceptance and surrender. Awakening her to the truth that this calling was not optional. It was her purpose. From that moment on, she embraced her gifts fully, transforming her own journey from overwhelm and self-doubt into a life of clarity, confidence, and spiritual leadership.

Her mission is clear and powerful. Never again should anyone feel confused, ashamed, or stuck when it comes to their intuition. Through her book, Be Guided & Be Great, her live programs, and her thriving communities, including the Clair Club and the Intuitive Environment Program, Kate empowers sensitives, seekers, and visionaries to understand how intuition speaks through the clear knowing, clear feeling, clear seeing, and clear hearing Clairs.

For those called to go even deeper, she teaches the Kate Saint Clair method, a transformative framework that organizes the intuitive and spiritual landscape so individuals can live guided from the inside out. In this episode, Kate leads the Be Guided and Be Great Movement, helping people unlock, organize, and trust their intuition without sacrificing their values, energy, or joy.

I’m looking forward to speaking with Kate, who is joining us from Illinois, about her remarkable journey from reluctant intuitive to powerful teacher. The role of birth guides in our lives, the types of spirits mediums perceive around us, how intuition supports us through grief and more. Kate invites each of us to step into a life guided by clarity, ease, and inner freedom.

Kate, a warm welcome to the show.

Thank you, Irene. It’s such an honor to be here with you.

Thank you. I’m thrilled and honored to have you here, too. I think you can help a lot of people who are listening to our podcast, which is a blessing. Let’s talk about the beginning. When did you find out that you were intuitive? How did it show up in your childhood? Why did you decide to teach intuition as a livelihood for the rest of your life?

Recognizing Early Intuitive Signals

I’ll try to keep it concise and give you the short form. When I share my story, I always like to start from the point of view that we are all born intuitive. It just looks different for each of us. How it looked for me was, my grandfather had passed away twenty years before my birth. I started to notice around age four that my grandmother, when I was at her dining room table, would talk about him but not to him. Even though I sensed him sitting in the chair next to us, and I could see him. He was just always there.

I was about four when I was like, “Why aren’t they talking to him?” My little brain just couldn’t comprehend that. I’d always see the sad-eyed, brown-eyed lady, which I would later understand was my great-grandmother. My mother’s mother was on the other side. I was used to having spirits around me. I didn’t think anything of it.

Around age four, I’d start to see what I consider Black cougars. I would later figure out they looked black to me because it was always at nighttime when they would come around. What I’d later understand is they showed up just before my mother and father were to divorce. They were like protectors and guides. They were there to help me. I would thus step into a life on my own after that divorce happened.

How old were you when that divorce happened?

Be Guided & Be Great: The Secrets to Spiritual Guidance & Intuition

I was around six years old.

That’s very formative.

As I grew up, I had those times where I learned I couldn’t say stuff. Let’s say I was claircognizant, where you just channel stuff. I get slapped for channeling secrets or spanked for saying the wrong thing. You just learn to catch yourself and overcontrol what came out of my mouth because I couldn’t control it. I always like to share the story because this is how it came across as a child. Maybe if I had a cousin who felt overweight and I was like five years old. She’d walk into the room and I’d say, “You’re feeling fat today.” I wasn’t thinking about it. It came out of my mouth, then I’m just as shocked. I get in trouble for saying the mean thing. It’s wild and uncontrolled. It’s just doing its thing.

You were accurate. She was overweight and you were reading her.

Overcoming Self-Doubt and Energetic Overwhelm

I felt so much shame and so much guilt. That’s how the gift felt to me growing up to the point where I worked hard not to see the spirits. I’d work hard not to say that. A sensitive kid. Twenty years later, I’d realize I’m an empath. I pick up other people’s feelings. As a child, I felt paralyzed by emotion. I’d scold myself and shame myself. I had parents that didn’t validate and parents that did shame. Let’s say if my stepbrother was dating a new gal, and I’d be like, “I don’t trust her.”

I’d be told, “You have a chip on your shoulder or you’re so judgmental.” I learned to keep my mouth shut. It got so bad that if I felt there was danger coming, like a man felt dangerous or didn’t feel right. I’d override my intuition and give him my phone number or be friendly to them because I didn’t trust it anymore. If I felt like something was wrong, I tell myself I’m wrong. It took me a long time to start to unwind. That went into my adulthood where if I was guided to go left, I’d go right. I had to unwind it and unpack it.

Did you ever get in trouble from going out with one of those people who was against your better judgment?

Several times. It revalidates like, “You can’t trust yourself. You don’t know who you are,” and then you do. You get washed away and you make decisions that are not in alignment with who you are. It was very hard and very confusing.

You were growing up in a 3D world and you were already a 5D.

That’s right.

Very hard. I can relate to that. What led you to teach intuitions?

We're all born intuitive, but we process inner guidance in unique ways. Learn to trust your natural gifts. Share on X

I came to work kicking and screaming. I was always trying to read. I started to interview anyone I could spiritually. I was raised Catholic, but I had interviewed the Mormon uncle. I would interview the Jehovah’s Witness neighbors across the street. I was always searching like, what is this? What is the sensitivity in spiritual texts? I started to get into psychology, thinking maybe it was a mental thing.

This was the ‘80s and the ‘90s. There wasn’t a lot of information on specifically psychic mediumship. Even if I came across a psychic mediumship, I’d say, “I’m not that.” If I heard Sylvia Brown say, “I come from 300 years of psychics.” I’d be like, “I don’t.” It would take me coming to the table of intuition doing it professionally before I woke up in my family. I understood not only do I come from 300 years of psychic mediums, but so do you.

It’s very natural. Everybody has it. Everybody does it. I was getting it off the pedestal and reading. The pivotal moment was that moment with my daughter when I became a mother and saw intuition in her. It was when I prayed. I always try to get help for it. A lot of the people are eccentric and scary, so I’d back off. Do you want me to tell that story about that moment?

Sure. Tell us now. After this story, I would love to hear from you. There are people who don’t understand what intuition is and how it is the language of our soul. If you could educate us a little bit about that, it would be great.

This is when the whole trajectory of my life changed and it became my life. I was always reading and studying, and it never quite made sense. I got married and had our baby, then we just moved from Montana to New England to Colorado. I’m at the park with my little toddler.

By the way, that sounds wonderful. Montana to New England. Talk about a variety of experiences.

We’re in different states. I’m at the park and we’re walking around a little lake. This man started to walk towards us. I very clearly heard a voice in my head say, “Pick her up and take her towards people. He’ll follow you.” It’s very complex and very specific. I picked up my little toddler and we walked across the grass. Sure enough, the man turned around and started to follow us. Other than hearing such a specific direction, what I noticed was my two-year-old didn’t take her eyes off of him. I very much understood that the two-year-old got the same information I did.

That’s where I pleaded to God, like, “Please help me understand this logically so I could help my children at a minimum.” Weeks later, I went to a Carol and Mace event. I opened the brochure. There’s a local psychic medium. I scheduled a session with her. The minute I walked in, she said, “You can do this work.” I’m like, “I don’t understand what you’re doing. I don’t understand how that is about me.” Long story short, she put me in her mentorship. I could practice on strangers and get immediate validation for the evidential information that came out of my mouth. With my mind, that’s when I started to understand, then I started to do the work professionally and take in clients.

You didn’t have formal training in it. It was just more from what you were doing.

I had to just be thrown into the fire, if you will, to start to test my skill. I was good at it naturally.

I bet you were blown away with how accurate you were.

Things would start to make sense in my past, only when I could experience it in the moment. Again, the stranger equation in that moment changed everything. I was able to do it. I was able to do it well, but I was never satisfied with just being able to do it. I always wanted to understand how. That’s where I’m at now. It’s like, I’m an expert on the how because I really care. I care how we know how we’re doing it so we can trust it.

That’s marvelous. How is intuition? Is that what you would call how we define intuition?

Yes.

It’s like that we all know something, but some of us are not in touch with that.

Mastering the Mechanics of the Four Clairs

There’s a lot of reasons. As I said at the beginning, there’s a lot of times we close down. All intuitive information comes through Clair. We either see, know, feel, or hear it. We have one strongest Clair. There’s a lot of reasons for that like you’re claircognizant. You just know.

Grief and Rebirth - Irene Weinberg | Kate Saint Clair | Practical Intuition Development

I never understood that either until I got more sophisticated into this world because I was always amazed. I knew things.

Claircognizance is the fastest. When I say this is the language of the soul, it’s because those four Clairs, especially some. We can smell it also. We have other Clairs, but I only teach the four major ones. Those four Clairs are the language of the soul. Our intuition reads dimensionally. Let’s just say even in the earth dimension, it can go in a ghost realm, earth realm. With those clairs, we know our dog’s thirst. We pick up our kids and we’re fine.

The minute the kids get in the car, you’re tired and hungry all of a sudden when in a minute you weren’t. That’s your clairsentience. You’re feeling the kids. It’s when your husband walks in and he’s got a smile on his face, but you can feel something’s wrong. You’re like, “Do you want to talk about something?” We do it with our friends. We do it with everybody. Those same Clairs are how you’re in touch with your loved ones on the other side. You either see, know, feel or hear it. It comes through Clair when we connect to our loved ones, which we all can do. To say I’m a medium, but so are you and so is everyone reading.

That is natural and normal and the way it should be for all of us. We can all connect to our loved ones directly, as I know you know. Saint Clair is connected to the guided realm and then higher, to our creator. However, people experience that themselves. That is how we experience it dimensionally and then through timelines also. You can remote view the past and get real evidential information, which is also a fun practice for testing your intuition skills, too.

That’s amazing. You also talk about the fact that we each have birth guides. A lot of people reading don’t know what a birth guide is. Let alone that they have birth guides. Tell us about their role in our lives. How long will they stay with us? How are they going to keep us? For everyone who doesn’t know, you have a sole purpose, and they keep you aligned with your sole purpose.

I’ll say how I discovered this. Once you get in the field and you try to understand the work of intuition. Everyone’s like, “Ask your guides.” I’m in the field and I’m taking clients, specifically as a medium. You use your psychic senses to read mediumistically. Whenever I’m in a reading and I have questions, one guide would always step forward. It took me years because it’s the Wild West when it’s untrained because everybody’s standing amongst everybody.

Understanding the Role of Birth Guides

I noticed it when I was reading. My client had a question, and one guide would step forward. Over time, over years, probably, I noticed they had something in their hands. I finally stopped and asked, “What are you? Who are you?” I kept hearing the birth guide, then I dismissed that. Eventually, I was like, “What’s in your hand? How come every guide has something in their hand?” It’s their life chart or their birth chart, as I call it. Before we came into life, these are the agreements we not only made in our relationship and roles with others. It’s the life we are here to live.

The guide is here not to ask them their opinion, but rather, what was it that I wanted to do? When we get in human form, we forget, and the emotion makes it hard. Our own personal wants or fears makes guidance hard. That birth guide is there to help us live the life we came here to live. They answer those humanity questions for us. Even so, is this a left or a right? That’s when we’re driving home, and you hear, “Take a left.” That’s the birth guide.

That’s your birth guide. When I was a kid, I remember almost drowning in a lake. All of a sudden, this man that I’d never seen before popped up and said, “Let me bring you to the shore.” Would that have been like a birth guide?

That would be more angelic. Survival would definitely be more angelic.

Your birth guide is here to remind you of the life contract you made before entering this world. Share on X

They were watching over me. They were making sure I was going to be here. That’s interesting. As a psychic medium, you always say you see a lot of spirits around people. Besides the birth guide, you get to meet a whole world that some of the rest of us don’t quite see. How do all these different people interact with us or support us? As you’re seeing me. What are you seeing? Is that too dangerous?

I have to give you credit because your environment is rather clean because you do the work consciously. I want to say that at a minimum, we have location spirits. There are different spirits in Montana, say, versus Ireland, say, versus Africa. There are very many land spirits. The ghost realm is one vibration off the earthly dimension.

They’re everywhere in the natural part of the spiritual landscape, if you will. Everybody has family around them, like family and friends, old friends, or friends maybe they saw once. It depends. Everyone has guides. It’s plural. We have several guides around us but the one I always look for because it’s the one that always talks to me is that birth guide. The one that helps you from birth till you cross over.

Sometimes, a real new spirit guiding you. Sometimes you have past life connections to them. Sometimes there’s a history there. There’s also the angelic realm. Angels are very much only interested in our survival. They don’t care if your finances are bad. They don’t care if your toe hurts. They don’t care, but they’re very much that miracle of an angel taking you to shore.

You’ve had several experiences with angels, and then it can go higher and higher. It can connect to our creator, however you see that. It is through a Clair where you see, know, feel or you hear that guidance from our creator, which created us. At a minimum, that’s the landscape then I could go into even more detail. It would be situationally based. As said, are we in Montana?

You told me something. I did not know that they changed depending on our location.

The family realm and friends don’t normally change. They travel with you. They’re connected to you, but the other intrinsic thing is more location-based. Angels never change. Loved ones never change. They follow you wherever you go.

We have an entourage. Every person is walking around with an entourage, but we don’t see the entourage, but they’re there.

I always like to tell this story. When it’s untrained, it can look like when I was younger and I go to a holiday party or something. One minute I’m fine. The next minute I feel ugly or I feel stupid or I’m like, “Two seconds ago, I wasn’t feeling that way.” It was my untrained clairsentience where somebody walked in the room and they felt stupid or they felt ugly or what have you.

We can be that sensitive where we think every feeling we have is our own. When you start to understand, it’s just not true. That’s how we know our children are hungry. That’s how we know our loved ones are sad. That’s how we are like, “You look excited.” It’s not necessarily that they have a particular smile. You can feel it. Those come through our Clairs. That’s how we are all connected. Be this dimension or say the other side, if you will.

This leads me to 2011. You experienced this life-changing moment, a skin cancer scare. This was part of your awakening. It awakened you to your purpose. Your guide must have been applauding because even though you were upset that you had skin cancer, your purpose was coming into view. What shifted for you? How did this work? How did it transform your relationship with your intuitive gifts?

It’s because of that childhood trauma of the divorce. I had to suffer violence and hunger and a lot of cruel things. Part of my prayer to God was like, “Please just help me have a normal life. I want to have a normal life.” In 2007, I got into this work. Though I loved it, I was still resentful that I had to tell people, “I’m psychic medium.” It’s not now. It was still many years ago. People would still furrow their brow or have an attitude. They don’t know.

I was doing this work very well, but still very resentful because I was like, “I had to tell everyone I’m a psychic medium. I wanted to find a funner name. Something’s not so charged,” and so I did. I got skin cancer over my heart. It was very scary. My youngest was only like three. Toddlers are hitting your chest a lot. They’re hugging and then they’re doing their little things. As a mother, your whole world is your chest. It’s your heart. That’s where you hold your loved ones. You’re cleaning your home.

You’re taking care of it. It’s here. For a week, I couldn’t do anything, then I was extra resentful. For about six months, my birth guide was like, “You have to accept that this is the family you had. You have to accept this is the work you’re born to do. It’s your job to educate people on how it’s natural and normal for all of us.” I had to get the work off the pedestal.

Only when I could see it, during those six months of just awakening and acceptance. I can’t call it something cute because then it patronizes people. The truth of it is what? That’s what I’m here to do. I finally accepted this is what I’m good at, this is what I’m born to do, this is the family I had and I learned a lot because of them. Part of gold because of what I’ve been through, so I can relate to a lot of people.

There are a lot of ways that people who are toxic or problematic can be lessons to us about what not to do or where not to go.

I didn’t like that. I had to accept that’s the nature of life. Even that I had to accept because I don’t like having to talk about loved ones on the other side. I don’t like it when a parent comes into my office and their child’s passed away. Who am I to have the answers for that? I was resentful of all of that. After skin cancer, that happens. Me, deciding it shouldn’t, doesn’t help anybody.

It’s a gift, though, but you got comfort while you were going through it.

That’s my role. That was my role in people’s life, whether I liked it or not. It no longer matters. That’s what I’m here to do. To connect to their child or their spouse or whomever they love and teach them the language to keep that relationship going.

That’s so beautiful. I also want to know, there are people who are navigating grief. How can intuition help guide them through that loss, confusion and emotional pain? How does intuition kick in when they’re going through that? I want to ask you about the Clairs, if you could explain them to everyone.

If I don’t get carried away in the grief part, so you’ll organize me. You’ll let me know if I get lost. There’s so much grief. For me, the more grief I had, the more resentment I felt. It disconnected me from guidance and it disconnected me from God because now I’m bitter and mad that I’m grieving. Once I started to understand the mechanics of intuition, then I started to trust it. It didn’t come for me before. I didn’t have any trust for it until I understood with my mind how it’s happening and what’s the source of my guidance.

We can sometimes get guided from Gary, the ghost in the bathroom. Who needs to hear his guide? We want to make sure the standard of what is guiding us is of the quality of standard that we require. When I start to understand the mechanics, I feel guided to call a therapist or to go to an energy healer, even though I’m rolling my eyes. I had an attitude about it. It’s like, if I was guided. After the trust came, I finally surrendered it.

Would you say it’s about acceptance?

It’s acceptance that you don’t have to do it alone. Many of us are raised so stoically. We don’t want to ask for help because it looks weak or we’re supposed to know. No. If you’re grieving, you need extra help. You need extra comfort. For us to be able to even reach out to ask for help is a huge step. Whether that be to the medium or to the therapist or to the doctor or whatever the area of help is. Through the grief, it is. It’s the acceptance of it because I stayed in denial a very long time.

Understanding my intuition and then understanding truly where the guidance was coming from now when grief hits, because it hits for all of us. It comes for all of us as different degrees and different chapters. That’s knowing too made me feel more comfortable that I’m not the only one in grief. It’s a normal part of life. Again, I said, “It shouldn’t be.” It is. Accepting that grief is a natural part of the landscape of being a human and knowing that you can be guided.

For example, when my son was three. He started breathing funny. I was like, “You’re not going to daycare, but I’m going to take you to the doctor right away.” When I got him there, the doctor pushed me to the side. She puts a little oxygen thing on his finger. I’m starting to disassociate like, “What’s going on here?” She looked me in the eye and she said, “He needs to be hospitalized now. I can call an ambulance or you can go.” He was about five. I’m very much a professional psychic medium. I asked my birth guide, “What’s going on here?” My birth guy said, “He’s at an exit point.”

I was guided throughout by my three-year-olds at an exit point. I was guided throughout that the way I had to speak to him was, “You have so much to do still, sweetheart.” My instinct was, “Stay for me. Don’t leave me.” I was guided through that to learn how to say what I needed to say to him to help him as a soul stay through that exit point. Come nighttime, I’m assuming I’m staying the night with him and my husband will take the five-year-old home to tend to the dog. My birth guide said, No, your husband’s staying.” I was like, “Over my dead body. I’m staying. I’m the mother here.”

Navigating Grief with Inner Guidance

What I understood was this exit point was partially here because he had not bonded with his father the way he required. I had to be unbelievably brave, take our daughter home, and take care of the dog. I’m telling him all the threats, like, “If I come back and he’s not.” All the threats to heaven. Sure enough, when I came in, in the morning, scared out of my mind, they were laughing and they’re close. I’m like, “Again, through exit points, through grief, we can be guided and know what the next right step is.” As you talked about, the acceptance of it is a whole other part. That’s our human part but the human part of us deserves to be guided because we get scared.

Grief demands extra comfort and support. Letting yourself be guided creates a path toward genuine healing. Share on X

It will block information coming in if you haven’t done your healing work or whatever. Does it help if people want to learn and tune in to their intuition if they’re doing some healing in some way to clear blocks and things that have happened to them? Is that why some people can’t hear what they’re getting?

That’s why I teach the mechanics of intuition, because I’ve been to so many classes in my teenage-hood and then early twenties where they’re like, “Close your eyes and get the name of your guardian angel.” I close my eyes and I don’t hear anything. Everybody else is like, “I heard this.” I heard nothing. Why? I always say when you’re clairvoyant or rather when you’re clairaudient, and let’s say when you’re driving a vehicle and you have ten people in your vehicle. You don’t hear anything.

That doesn’t mean ten people aren’t having a conversation behind you. I teach people how to identify the Clair, how to slow it down enough to know you’re even doing it, and then how to organize it. As I said, sometimes the obstacle is you see too much, you feel too much, and you know too much. Even with that, how do you pinpoint the one piece of guidance that is helpful right here, right now?

That’s fascinating. Speaking of guidance and learning. Tell us about your Be Guided and Be Great Movement, the Clair Club and the Intuitive Embodiment Program because this can help the people reading to unlock and organize and live by their intuition in real time. When did these communities happen? What inspired you to build them? You have learned to empower sensitive women and those soulfully connected to the spirit world to trust your intuition without sacrificing their values, energy or joy. That’s a lot. Dive in.

I’ll try to stay organized. The Be Guided and Be Great movement is just not only for me. I was the person who I wanted to be a good girl. I wanted to do what other people did. I even moved from New York City to Seattle. My dreams were coming true in New York City. A family member manipulated me to go to Seattle, and I did. I was a person who I just wanted to make people happy. I didn’t know who I was. Learning about how my intuition works saved my life. Only from getting that reinforcement, like I’m guided to stay here.

I’m guided to be here. I’m guided to do this thing today or at this moment. Not listening to everybody else under the sun. It literally saved my life and gave me a life. That’s how much I believe. When you live a guided life, you know how your intuition works, you know who you are as a soul, nobody can stop you. Nobody can stop you from living the life you’re here to live. With the Clair Club, how do you trust your intuition? You practice. I recreated it in an hour.

The moment that changed my entire life was when I met my mentor. She said, “Come to the practice group.” I was so shy. I couldn’t even say my name. I was like, “I’ll come, but I’ll just watch. I can’t participate. I can’t talk.” She’s right, “Whatever.” She puts me in the group. She breaks this down into threes. I’m like, “I’m just here to watch.” She was like, “Everybody start,” and it comes out of my mouth. At that moment, it was like, “My daughter’s name is Jennifer. She’s blonde. Yes, yes, yes.” My jaw drops.

In the moment, validation changed everything for me. In the Clair Club, I give you one practice where I have you read a location that I can validate. You’re like, “I see this and I see that. We’re just playing. You’re not right or wrong. When I can show you that you had an evidential experience, that’s when the neurons start to go, “Maybe this is real,” because I’m a stranger. We do another exercise where we read a person, which is harder because people have feelings.

They don’t respond well when you look at them and say, “I can tell you’re a negative person.”

There are a lot of parameters around me. The Clark Club just for fun. We have a Friday vibe. I’m going to have to change it because my youngest is moving to college. We’re going to move the day so I can travel to see my kids. I have an opportunity for the embodiment program. It’s the program I’ve been doing since 2016. I have a methodology and a framework to take you step by step to help your intuition. Not only when it’s happening to you, but take the steps to frame it so it becomes something real to you every day.

I have a 100% success rate. This works. It’s been tested since 2016. I’m a human design projector. Through this container, I’ll get you to just see and know. Again, some people think that if I told you something lovely about yourself, you would be like, “Yes, of course.” Sometimes people have a hard time accepting what a beautiful soul they are. Sometimes people have a hard time accepting how talented and how intuitive they are.

That’s where I’m like, “I’ve got your hand. I went through all of those feelings too. Who am I to talk to your loved one on the other side?” To normalize it and to give you that feedback, I’m normalizing what we are as souls and how we use our intuition. That’s that embodiment program. It’s a six-month container. The transformation is incredible. Having these conversations and making it normal and natural for you.

That’s amazing and wonderful. I want you to brag about your book, Be Guided and Be Great. Tell everybody about it. I think you have another one on its way, don’t you?

My book Be Guided and Be Great is the spiritual landscape. We got to talk a little bit earlier about things like when we’re talking about spirits and what is around us. I will tell you the spiritual landscape. I will talk to you and teach you about your Clairs. At the end, I give you what I call my guidance gold, where I found a formula to help make it real for you in a container. Again, because we’re establishing your obstacle to intuition, isn’t that you’re not. It’s that you have too much. My job is to help refine it so that you can find the information you want and that’s relevant to you at the moment.

It’s a refinement. The book came out in 2022. I did realize it’s a little too advanced for some people. In September, my book, The Intuition Codes, is coming out. It’s a precursor where one of the codes we establish, you were born intuitive. We’re having a conversation from that point of view, then the Be Guided and Be Great will make much more sense after we establish a few things together. We can have a conversation where you feel like you’re part of the conversation right here, right now.

That’s fabulous. Tell me about April because she experienced a remarkable transformation through your work.

She came to literally my very first Ask a Medium Show. It was a private event in Colorado, and there were fifteen guests. I read every single guest there. She came to me after that because in that Ask a Medium Show, her father on the other side came through clearly. She scheduled a private session with me, and two women went before. I knew that she wasn’t here to talk to great-aunt Betty or to her friend Sally. I could feel she was here to talk to a male. I said, “April, I hear the name Bruce, but I can’t see him yet,” and she started to cry. She said, “Yes, that’s my dad.”

He was the first soul to teach me that he didn’t know how to do it. I was able to slow it down and encourage him. I could see his facial hair and I knew he played guitar. He showed me his guitar and he gave me evidential information to validate. That changed her whole life, that reading. She got into my mentorship and it was slow. She slowly came to the table, but real sensitive, real self-conscious, and didn’t know who she was and all the things. When she got into my Kate Saint Clair method, she was ready to take the work seriously. She now does evidential readings for others.

Talk about paying it forward. That’s great. Let me ask you, Kate. What is your message about the importance of healing? How does the spirit world work to guide people towards their healing? What becomes possible when we finally accept and follow the guidance?

When you know who you are as a soul, nobody can stop you from living a life of purpose and joy. Share on X

Over the course of my career, we have to establish you deserve to heal. We have to sometimes give ourselves that permission because sometimes it feels disloyal for whatever the reason. We hold on to the pain of it. Us older generations do that. I’m sorry. I’ll suffer for you. The acceptance that it’s okay for me to heal because that’s where the information is.

That’s where the real intimacy of why it even happened in the first place is for us. If it’s in our life chart or birth chart, then there is a reason for it, which there is, whether we like it or not. Unfortunately, our healing is often the doorway to our bliss. It’s the doorway to who we are, what we were born to be. I don’t want to take humanity out of it. It’s hard. A lot of the time these things can’t fix themselves the way we want them to, but that doesn’t mean that it will fix itself even more beautifully than we can possibly imagine.

Spirit, on the other side, they know what you need also. When you’re busy healing, they’re helping.

Sometimes, let’s just say. I’ve had several clients whose fathers passed away when they were young. They use that to be victims. Whatever the pain is, they use it as a weapon. I’ve seen their loved ones on the other side and it hurts them. They’re constantly like, “Don’t go dare.” It’s freaking them out. It freaks their loved ones on the other side to simplify it. It’s not a weapon. It does affect the spirit world when we use their name to stay a victim or to stay in pain. When we can step into the healing, we set them free. We bring them joy in all the things.

It sounds to me like they’re cheering for you. They want to help, and it sounds to me, through your programs, you remove a lot of fear from people.

Intuition can be scary because if our brains don’t know what we’re talking about, how can we use our intuition? It’s impossible. We want to establish lots of things. I’ve been doing this for many years now but I was born intuitive. If I’m afraid, my fear voice is still louder than anything. That’s where, practically, I’d say to my birth guide, “Stand in front of me and shake your head,” because there’s no chance I’ll hear you. I’m too afraid.” These are real factors when we’re talking about intuition and guidance and connection. Our humanity, for all the right reasons, can get in the way of that. We still can push through and get some guidance there.

Especially if you’re getting some advice from Kate. Speaking of doing that, I think you have a special promotion for our Grief and Rebirth audience, don’t you?

Yes.

Tell us about that.

We’ll do the Grief and Rebirth coupon. It’s a 50% off the Clair Confidence mini course. I try to streamline it as much as we can. Not a lot of information, but rather I’ll take you through each of the Clairs and then we’ll do a little meditation because that’s where we build spiritual energetic muscles. It’s in meditation. We do it in meditation so we can do it when we’re driving or when we’re picking up the kids or when we’re doing all the things. We can strengthen those muscles while in meditation.

It’s a little lesson on each Clair meditation. The fifth week or the fifth module is bringing them all together because as I said, there’s always one strongest Clair and there’s a lot of reasons for that. Sometimes, let’s say if you’re clairsentient, feeler, and empathic. I have had a lot of clients that are 150 empathic and they can’t function. That’s not helpful. I teach them to use it.

Maybe your clairvoyance so you can get guidance like, “I feel New York City. Am I going to New York City? Show me,” then you can have maybe an image or something.” Maybe you’re like, “Tell me New York City. I hear it,” then you can get more information that way. Ideally, we want quarter, quarter, quarter so that all of the Clairs are speaking together. We feel like it’s grounded, three-dimensional, and real. With you, you’re claircognizant.

With a lot of my claircognizant students, it’s so fast and then they doubt it. You do because you’re claircognizant. That’s how you knew. Sometimes I’ll say, “Let’s just slow it down.” They’re like, “I got that. I’m going to do that.” It’s like, “Say it again to me clairaudiently.” Clairaudience is much slower, much more real. Some more three-dimensional than that. Claircognizant is so fast. It’s survival. Again, if it goes so fast and you don’t know how you knew that, you’ll doubt it, or people will doubt you.

With my experience, I figured out that I needed a survival player.

It served you and it served me. Again, it’s like for me in Montana. If you’re out in the woods by yourself and now you see a human, I guarantee you’ve read that so quickly. It’s not even funny. You can say, “I feel safe.” There’s no reason you feel safe, but that’s the guidance that you got. You can learn to trust that.

Don’t you have a Clair quiz that people can tune into that helps them identify their strongest Clair?

Absolutely.

How does that help beginners? If someone’s reading says, “This is fascinating. I want to learn more.” Tell us about that.

People love that. They love that quiz. It’s just six questions. It’s like if you went to a party, you would what? If you go to buildings, typically what? It’s asking you thoughtful questions about maybe how you experience your intuition. At the end, it will give you a result and explain what that Clair is and how you typically interact with it or it interacts with you.

That’s very cool. Finally, Kate, why do you teach that true joy comes from knowing who and what you are as a soul? Can you explain who and what we are as a soul? What shifts when a person begins making every decision from the place of trust that you are teaching them about?

I can honestly say, the first probably 22 years of my life-ish. I didn’t know who I was and a lot of the decisions I’ve made. I was trained to make decisions for everybody else. I didn’t trust myself and then I wasn’t happy. I was beating myself up. I was guided to go to New York City and my dreams came true. I had this contrast of I didn’t know and muddle to have to use your intuition. If you leave home, go to the city. I was so guided and things worked out for me. I felt joyful and aligned.

Through that manipulation, I left all my dreams to go with a family member to another state and I was almost dead again. I couldn’t find my joy. I didn’t know who I was again. I was lost. If I wanted to go left, my family member would say, “You should go right.” I was accessing my intuition genuinely and understanding it. Over time, I am being guided and learning how to trust that helped me start to make decisions for myself and my family that were in alignment with what I was guided to do.

From that point of view, I started to watch the joy come back in. I started to feel more alive. I was like, “Let people know who I was,” because I wasn’t trying to shape shift, like, “Who do you think I should be? How should I be so you’ll like me or not hurt me?” It’s like, this is just who I am. Take me or leave me, because that’s what’s up. We take each other or leave each other. There’s no manipulation here. We’re going to show up as authentic people.

Look at how you healed, transformed and how you’re helping other people to do that. That’s a beautiful thing. Kate, as we close, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you for the clarity, courage, and devotion you’re bringing to this world. Your teachings remind us that intuition is not a mystery reserved for a few gifted people. It is the living language of the soul available to every single one of us. Through your Be Guided and Be Great movement, your book, your communities, and the Kate Saint Clair method, you’re showing people how to return to their inner knowing with confidence, compassion, and joy.
