Grief and Rebirth
Catherine and I had a very touching and stirring interview based on this book, and we liked each other a lot! She enjoyed a successful career as an independent sales agent for sixteen years and later transitioned to the film and television industry, where she is a second assistant director and where she also met her husband. The heartbreaking, sudden, and tragic loss of the three biggest loves of her life, her mom Neta Tuepah, her dad Bill Gourdier, and her youngest sister Julie compelled Catherine to write her new first book titled Breathe Cry Breathe: From Sorrow to Strength in the Aftermath of Sudden, Tragic Loss, which is a terrific read. I truly appreciated learning about the special Olympics, and how Catharine has honored Julie’s memory by becoming active in this incredibly worthy cause.

Camille’s fascinating journey from skeptic to believer when she heard her son Aaron speaking to her from the Afterlife is a must-read. And I personally relate to her story, because Aaron instructed Camille to spread his message, so she is working with her son across the veil, as I am working with my husband Saul across the veil. I loved this book! And it is very well written! Camille is also the author of Gathering at the Doorway: An Anthology of Signs, Visits, and Messages from the Afterlife. It’s full of incredible stories and experiences that, as we know, show that death is an illusion and that we live on. Each story is a unique story in itself, but there’s a common thread through all of them, which is that people are connecting with their loved ones across the veil, and there’s evidence of it.
To Her And That She Would Recognize Him. Then She Discovered His Trans-Image While Watching A Documentary, And She Nearly Fell Off Her Chair!
This very helpful, popular book provides 365 daily reflections, weekly themes, and 52 healing exercises to help its readers make peace with their grief one day at a time. I was especially touched by Jan’s telling me about her recent courageous visit to Ukraine and her experiences with the Ukrainian people whose spirit of celebration and productivity is mixed with trauma and mourning. Very touching and inspiring!

I loved this book, and I loved Anne-Marie. What a fine, wonderful woman. Her incredibly well-written, award-winning book focused on the troubled relationship she had over her lifetime with her mom until her mom entered dementia, and how, as she began to lose her mother, they somehow, in awkward and comic ways, found each other. This is a very touching and at times, funny read. I could easily understand why this is an award-winning book. And Anne-Marie and I “hit it off” during our interview; we had a wonderful rapport!

Michele especially touched me during our interview because after Saul transitioned, I became a Founding Board member for an organization that provides peer support for grieving children who have lost parents, grandparents, and siblings. Therefore, Michele’s heartbreaking story of losing her 6-year-old son to cancer, her daughter’s experience growing up after her beloved brother’s death, and how Michele learned to help her daughter through what Michele calls her Good Grief Parenting Approach, is a guide that helps families to journey beyond mourning to experience whole, joy-full lives. Michele and her book are wise and inspiring, and a worthy must-read for parents whose children are suffering from the death of their sibling.

I had a lovely interview with Drs Gloria and Heidi at the Helping Parents Heal Conference in August 2022, and I was a guest on their cable TV show in Spring of 2023. Their books are filled with solace and wise advice for grieving teens and parents.

Did you know that suicide is the 10th leading cause of death among adults in the U.S. and the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-24? I highly respect Peggy, who is a mother, a teacher, a survivor, a speaker, a leader, a grief coach. She is also an Amazon bestselling author who experienced the unthinkable: the loss of two of her four children, her daughter Courtney by accident in 1991 and her son Connor by suicide in 2018. The remarkable ways Peggy overcame these two devastating losses informed her first book, titled “Life After Child Loss: The Mother’s Survival Guide to Cope and Find Joy,” which has helped hundreds of readers on their grief journey. This heartfelt Amazon #1 best seller titled A Guide to Widowhood: Navigating the First Three Years provides a financial roadmap to surviving the first three years of widowhood with a person’s heart, soul, and finances intact. It is a helpful and easy-to-read guide for grieving widows.
When I looked at Donna’s photo, I sensed a warm, intelligent, and welcoming person, and that is just what she was like when I interviewed her! Her book and her interview blew me away when I read about the shock of her husband’s suicide, how she struggled, then began to cope step by step, and how she is now brilliantly “paying it forward” by helping other widows. Wonderful person, wonderful helpful book!

Sue Frederick is an inspiration to know, and she is one of the most emotionally honest and authentic people I’ve interviewed. The highlight of this interview for me was how Sue recounted a dream vision in which she was lifted above Earth and showed that the light is always winning no matter how grim things may appear. That inspired me and gave me hope that the chaos we are experiencing on our planet is a “cleaning out” of the toxic messes and better days are ahead! Now I need patience to be able to watch it come to fruition!
In Through a Divine Lens: Practices to Quiet Your Ego and Align with Your Soul, Sue helps us see the hidden wisdom in the painful moments we encounter as inspiring fuel for moving fearlessly through life’s trials and reaching our potential. This is an incredibly enlightening book.

Spiritual Awakenings, Insights, and Evolution
Mary is a lovely, fine, and warm human being. I loved talking with her during our interview at the Helping Parents Heal Conference in August 2022 about connecting with our deceased loved ones through mindful approaches, love, and gratitude. Her book teaches, through a variety of fascinating stories, how a person can know if their deceased loved ones are receiving their messages, how to increase signs, and much more. It is an inspiring, hope-filled book!

This wise book explores many enlightening topics such as how the soul speaks to us through resonance, how the act of honoring our inner resonance removes judgment, and how the body responds when it is in resonance. I personally appreciated how Cathrine was so forthcoming about her childhood trauma and the Near-Death Experience that served as catalysts to writing the book, and how Melissa revealed her early path to pleasing people transformed when she turned inward during our interview about the book.

Ann is a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. I interviewed her at the Helping Parents Heal Conference in August 2022. It was a true pleasure to talk with Ann about her fascinating transition from a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Concentration, to becoming an angel communicator, author, and spiritual instructor, how Ann started receiving messages from her angels and began to enjoy the mystical world of energy. One day, when she least expected it, she heard voices telling her to “turn in her resignation the next day.” She took a leap of faith and never looked back. Fascinating book, fascinating interview!

I also interviewed Tina at the Helping Parents Heal Conference in Phoenix in August 2022. Tina is very charismatic and gifted. She has worked in film, theatre, and television, and she is now a Psychic/Medium and author who lectures on intuition and holds private sessions with clients. Her book is a fascinating read.

Kyomi is a pleasure to know! During our interview, she shared her touching personal story about the intense emotional difficulties she experienced within her family of origin, her uplifting, healing marriage to Patrick, the love of her life that culminated in a fierce 3-year battle after he was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma in the brain, how Kyomi’s dedication to a Buddhism practice fostered her spiritual growth and more. In her book, Kyomi recounts her fascinating and at times heart-wrenching story, and I especially loved reading how she broke through the “emotional armor” she developed in her childhood, plus the insights she gained from a spiritual vision she received that took away her fear of the unknown. I truly enjoyed reading Kyomi’s book and I highly recommend it!

My interview with the colorful Father Nathan Castle, which was based on these two books, will always be one of my all-time favorites. I loved how Father Nathan helped Vicki Swayze to transition so that she could be on the Other Side to welcome her brother Patrick’s soul, as Patrick was about to transition soon due to his body dying of pancreatic cancer. These books are super enlightening, and interesting reads!

Healing and Forgiveness
I’m literally and totally in awe of what Lora endured in her life, and how she healed and transformed, and now she is a successful mental health professional, she is recognized as a leading educator, and she is also a sought-after public speaker. She is a role model for healing from the unthinkable and paying it forward. What an inspiration she is, as is her book!

What a wise and wonderful person Winnie is! And she is also an effective healer who authentically revealed, through both her book and our interview, the tremendous trauma she endured in her life, how she healed it and how she now admirably inspires others to do the same. Not only does Winnie, who is impressively bright, combine the medical science of a clinically trained acupuncturist with the spiritual knowledge of a shaman to help her clients process their trauma, which is the root cause of many physical and emotional illnesses, but during the interview and in her book she openly talks about her trauma-filled childhood, her 3 suicide attempts, her painful divorce, and the way she healed using what is called “shadow work.” She is an inspiration and a terrific resource for people.

I was mesmerized by Krista’s trauma-filled story and how she not only overcame the trauma, she saved her siblings in the process also. Krista now serves as a certified spiritual medium and teacher, and she also works as a neurolinguistic life coach and hypnotist specializing in the Satir method of transformational systemic therapy. In her book, Krista talks about being a frightened child in the Philippines, in the household of her very abusive alcoholic father. There is a heartbreaking scene in the book when Krista talks about her father punishing her when she was around 5 years old by making her hold burning coals in her hand. Talk about abuse! Then amazingly, Krista moved to the United States at the age of twelve, became a successful entrepreneur at seventeen years old, and this is just for starters! A truly fascinating, inspiring read.

I’ve interviewed the incredible, big-hearted, and true healer Debra Martin a few times, and I can attest to the fact that she is an authentic and sincere person with an amazing life story, which you can learn about in her book Proof of Miracles: Profound True Stories of Hope and Healing. When you read this highly enlightening book, you’ll find out how experiences such as suicide, the loss of loved ones, divorce, and near-death experiences transformed Debra into the amazing healer and medium she is today. This is an incredibly enlightening read, and Debra is an incredibly enlightening, beautiful person!

Becca’s book is a beautiful guide that offers a pathway back to connection and wholeness while it encourages us to access our intuition, tune in to our bodies, and awaken our “wild woman” within. I sympathized with Becca’s sense of loneliness and unbelonging throughout her life, related to the growth and Rebirth she experienced while she was writing her book and became a new mother, and much more. It is worth reading this book just to find out why the current time we are living in is called The Age of Loneliness!

Natalie is an outstanding, truly wonderful person with a huge, loving heart. During our interview, I learned so much about FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) and the resourceful and clever ways Natalie has helped her adopted son who has it. I loved interviewing Elena about what she calls the “brain dump,” otherwise known as mental and emotional decluttering. And I loved her book that encourages people to turn their walls of shoulds and judgment into doorways of hope and possibility. I personally loved how Elena blended her personal experiences as a cancer survivor and a teacher leader to inspire people to remove self-imposed obstacles and explore the unexpected with more curiosity, more willingness, and less judgment. A worthy read!

I’ve interviewed Peggy three times and each interview is more special than the last. Peggy is a wonderful, wise, and inspiring woman. Danny is a great guy, very authentic, and he was fun to interview. I loved how openly he recounted how he cleared his first trauma and the monumental changes that occurred in his life as a result of that healing. (Music to my ears!) Danny is one of the UK’s leading experts in childhood and relationship trauma. In his book he expertly explains the key principles of trauma, reveals the hidden process of how and why the mind creates trauma, and he presents a powerful, easy to understand method of overcoming trauma that shows how a person can reduce and resolve childhood and relationship trauma forever. Everything he said made tremendous sense to me.

Petia is a contributor to the Amazon #1 best seller 21 Days to Soulful Success: Clarify Your Vision, Embody Your Purpose, and Manifest Your Abundance in 21 Days. I loved this book! It literally had me laughing out loud at some of the absurdities Michael endured compliments of his eccentric, dysfunctional father who, even in death, was difficult and rogue. And I also loved the theme of eventual forgiveness that came to Michael and his siblings from their experience burying their father together. This introspective, honest, and darkly humorous memoir speaks to grief, forgiveness, and the complexities of human relationships as it shares how Michael grappled with having to travel four thousand miles, overcome four decades of resentment, and reconnect with his estranged siblings so they could bury their enigmatic, eccentric father by themselves, and by hand. A great read!

I loved interviewing LeAnn and I greatly admire her. Her book tells the heartbreaking experience of losing her 16-year-old son, who was a great student, a star pitcher scouted by major league baseball teams, and dearly loved by his friends, to suicide, and how this became LeAnn’s purpose-driven conviction to spread love, inspiration, and encouragement in the midst of her grief. I wanted to cry when I read the heartbreaking way Andy took his life and the vow LeAnn made in her bathroom that night. And I wanted to cheer at the inspiring ways LeAnn has turned one of life’s most bitter “lemons” into a sweet lemonade to turn other kids away from suicide.

Near Death Experiences and Shared Death Experiences
I enjoyed interviewing William at the Helping Parents Heal Conference in August 2022 about Shared Death Experiences and how they differ from Near Death Experiences. William has personally experienced both, which is very cool. Both the NDE and the SDE help to take away the fear of death, and William’s book, which is filled with personal stories and convincing research, shares fascinating new insights into the world of Shared Death Experiences. It’s an enlightening read!

I loved interviewing Andrea at the Helping Parents Heal Conference. She is a warm, caring, and completely authentic person who is now helping people heal grief through sound healing and more. Dr. Lotte is amazing, and her book is amazing. I began reading Dr. Lotte’s book prior to our interview with her and I didn’t want to put it down, it was that good!
